Mr Matt Farrar

Mr Matt Farrar is a HCPC registered Podiatrist at The Vesey Private Hospital specialising in bespoke orthotics casting and the sporting foot. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree and is a Member of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.

At The Vesey Private Hospital, Mr Farrar offers a full biomechanical assessment of foot structure and gait analysis to determine if the way one walks is contributing to an existing injury or is likely to give rise to one in the future. During the assessment, he pays close attention to the way one walks from head to toe, with particular focus on the lower limb. He also offers nail surgery for ingrown toenails, routine foot care and diabetic foot care at the hospital.

Mr Farrar also has special interests in the treatment of foot and ankle problems, including plantar fasciitis, heel spurs and bunions. He sees patients with characteristic symptoms of the conditions, such as heel pain that is worse in the morning.
