Mr Mark Stoddart

Mr Mark Stoddart is a dedicated Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon and Ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive eye care. With a patient-centred approach, he aims to deliver individualised, compassionate care designed to preserve and restore sight. Mr Stoddart treats a broad range of ophthalmic conditions, combining clinical precision with a reassuring manner to ensure patients feel comfortable and well-informed at every stage of their care.

Mr Stoddart completed his undergraduate medical studies at the University of Aberdeen, qualifying in 1985. Following his core medical training, he undertook post-graduate specialist training in Ophthalmology, including an advanced fellowship in ocular plastics. To remain at the forefront of surgical standards and ongoing professional development, he maintains full membership with the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society (BOPSS).

In his clinical practice, Mr Stoddart specialises in cataract surgery, oculoplastic procedures for minor eyelid conditions, and endolacrimal surgery. His expertise spans laser refractive surgery and lens refractive surgery, alongside the ongoing management of sight-threatening conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and age-related macular degeneration. Utilising modern therapeutic approaches, including intravitreal injections and corrective eyelid procedures, he works closely with patients to optimise visual outcomes and enhance their quality of life.
