About Optegra Eye Clinic Newcastle

With the current delays in cataract surgery waitlists, those in need can be referred to Optegra through their GPs and opticians to receive cataract treatment in a fraction of the time.
The team at Optegra Newcastle consists of leading consultants specialised in ophthalmology with several years of experience. These consultants are supported by eye care specialists, so patients can rest assured that they will receive the best care available.
Optegra is dedicated to providing excellent eye care for their patients. Thus, they utilise the latest technology and all care is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Treatment plans and care are personalised to suit the individual needs and requirements of each patient to ensure effective results and that patients feel comfortable at every stage of the treatment process.

Great staff everything explained throughout procedure and visit. Aftercare however terrible tried to contact between procedures but unable on hold more than 15mins at a time gave up. Referral after 2nd eye from optician saying i needed medication waited 2 weeks no word from optigra. Still waiting and stressed

Everything was faultless about my experience. From the receptionist right up to the eye surgeon, they all showed compassion and the highest level of professionalism. They treated me as though I was their Grandfather. It was an experience i needn’t have had worries about. Than you. .

There was an extra half hour of waiting time in reception. It isn't good if anybody is nervous. My first cataract removal went very well. The second wasn't. Whatever holds the eye open when it was put in, hurt. The surgeon used an automatic water device to wash the eye. It went from warm to cold and there was too much water. Resulting in me wanting to blink a lot.
