Ms Manjula Annappa

Ms Manjula Annappa, is a Consultant Gynaecologist based in Staffordshire, specialising in Urogynaecology and Pelvic Floor Disorders. She consults at Beacon Park Hospital, Rowley Hall Hospital, and Nuffield Health North Staffordshire Hospital, alongside her NHS role at the University Hospital of North Midlands.

Ms Annappa has been practising since 1994 and has worked as a substantive consultant since 2013. Her clinical expertise covers urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, menstrual irregularities, menopausal symptoms, ovarian cysts, and chronic pelvic pain. She also manages complex pelvic floor and reconstructive conditions, providing individualised care informed by current evidence and research.

In addition to her clinical practice, Ms Annappa is actively involved in medical research and education. Her studies include work on urinary symptoms in pregnancy, prolapse symptoms in primary care, and anaesthetic approaches in pelvic floor surgery. She is a member of several leading professional organisations, including the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), the International Urogynecological Association (IUGA), the British Society of Urogynaecology (BSUG), and the International Continence Society (ICS), where she serves on research and publications committees.
