Dr Mairi Steven

Dr Mairi Steven is a highly dedicated Consultant Paediatric Surgeon who specialises in providing comprehensive surgical care for infants, children, and young people. Focusing on general paediatric surgery and paediatric urology, she is committed to delivering gentle, child-centred care tailored to the individual needs of young patients and their families. Her compassionate clinical practice encompasses a broad range of congenital, neonatal, and acquired surgical conditions.

Dr Steven possesses sub-speciality expertise in paediatric urological procedures and complex reconstructive surgery, including treatment for hypospadias and conditions affecting sex development. She also maintains a strong clinical interest in neonatal surgery, renal transplantation, and paediatric gastrointestinal motility disorders. Known for her thoughtful approach, Dr Steven utilises minimally invasive surgical techniques, such as keyhole procedures, to achieve optimal outcomes while reducing recovery times for her young patients.

Dr Steven completed her medical degree and higher specialist training, earning her Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Paediatric Surgery.
