Ms Lyn Longman

Ms Lyn Longman is a qualified psychotherapist specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). She practices at Equilibria Health, where she supports individuals in managing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and trauma-related difficulties.

Lyn holds a BA (Hons) in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Strathclyde, awarded in 1994, providing her with a strong academic foundation in human behaviour and social dynamics. She further advanced her clinical expertise by completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the University of Napier in 2022.

As an accredited member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), Lyn adheres to high professional and ethical standards in her practice. She integrates evidence-based approaches, combining CBT techniques with EMDR therapy to help clients process distressing experiences, develop coping strategies, and achieve meaningful psychological change.
