Dr Louisa Pollock

Dr Louisa Pollock is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician specialising in General Paediatrics and Paediatric Infectious Diseases. Providing comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and adolescents, she is committed to delivering clear, reassuring, and individualised care to every family. Her clinical expertise spans the assessment and management of common childhood illnesses as well as complex viral and bacterial infections in young patients.

Dr Pollock completed her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne before completing specialist paediatric training in the West of Scotland. Demonstrating a strong commitment to clinical science, she was awarded a prestigious research fellowship and completed her PhD examining infant vaccine responses and viral diseases. In addition to her clinical role, she holds an academic position as a Clinical Senior Lecturer, contributing to ongoing clinical research, paediatric disease surveillance, and maternal-infant immunisation strategies.

Within her clinical practice, Dr Pollock focuses on the diagnosis and management of complex childhood infections, including respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), COVID-19, tuberculosis, and blood-borne viral infections. Her work seamlessly integrates clinical research and epidemiology with patient care, ensuring that young patients benefit from evidence-based treatments.
