About Dr Clare Bell

Dr Clare Bell is a UK-trained Paediatrician and Consultant at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, with a professional focus spanning clinical paediatrics, medical education and research. She graduated from the University of Nottingham with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2008 and has since developed extensive experience within the NHS.

Alongside her clinical responsibilities, Dr Bell is actively involved in medical research, with a particular interest in paediatric trainees and the development of effective training pathways. Her work reflects a commitment to supporting the education and progression of junior doctors and contributing to the continued development of paediatric training.

Dr Bell also serves as a College Tutor at Stoke Mandeville, working within the NHS Workforce, Training and Education sector across the Thames Valley. In this role, she contributes to the training and professional development of doctors, supporting learners throughout their medical careers.

Through her combined clinical, academic and educational roles, Dr Bell brings experience across paediatric practice, research and postgraduate medical education. Her work with trainees and junior doctors complements her responsibilities as a Consultant Paediatrician, allowing her to contribute to both patient care and the development of the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Dr Bell sees children from birth to 18 years of age and provides assessment and management of a wide range of paediatric medical conditions. She also offers comprehensive assessments for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), taking a three-part approach that considers the individual experiences of the child, their parents and their educational setting. This ensures that each assessment takes account of the child’s needs and behaviour across different environments.

Honestly can't praise Dr Bell and the paediatric long COVID team highly enough. It is the one place my daughter feels understood. Dr Bell is brilliant, she is genuinely interested in my daughter and has helped her so much to understand her illness, how to manage it and make progress. I don't know where we would be without Dr Bell!

Dr Bell is very clear and concise, she will explain next steps so your expectations are met. She listens to both parent and child and treats each patient as an individual and shows care and compassion. I would recommend Dr Bell to any parent.
