About Mr Kiran Singisetti
Mr Kiran Singisetti is a lower limb orthopaedic surgeon based at Nuffield Health Newcastle upon Tyne Hospital and Spire Washington Hospital. His clinical practice focuses on primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery. He also treats soft tissue knee disorders, such as meniscal and ACL injuries. He is passionate about trauma care and undertakes a variety of trauma-related surgeries, including complex periarticular and periprosthetic fracture fixation of the lower limb.
Following his basic and advanced surgical training, Mr Singisetti went on to complete the Cavendish Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Fellowship in Sheffield, UK, and then an AO Trauma Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, USA. He has also undertaken a number of other fellowships including the British Orthopaedic Association travelling fellowship and the Charnley Latta Travelling Scholarship.
Mr Singisetti is interested in medical education and teaches on several regional, national, and international courses. He is the Surgical Tutor for the NHS Trust, supervises surgical trainees. He is an ATLS instructor, faculty member of Royal College of Surgeons courses and on the panel of examiners for the FRCS (Orthopaedics) exam.
He contributes to collaborative working in the North East, has various regional roles - Regional Surgical Ambassador for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Regional Speciality Professional Advisor for Royal Cllege of Surgeons of England. He is one of the Regional Clinical Coordinators for the National Joint Registry.
Mr Singisetti has presented work at international meetings such as the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the British Orthopaedic Association. He has published extensively with several articles, book chapters, and co-edited a book.

I met with Mr Singisetti last week for a consultation referring to my knee. He explained in great detail that I was not yet ready for a knee replacement and offered me an alternative to help with pain in the form of a cortisone injection. I was delighted as he offered me this procedure immediately. Mr Singisetti was professional, courteous, amiable, accommodating and a gentleman.
From first walking through the doors of the Nuffield I felt very relaxed and the staff who I spoke to were very helpful and guided me through the paperwork that I needed to fill in. I now look forward to having my surgery and know that I will.be in the best hands.

Mr Singisetti carried out my hip replacement on 2/7/ 2026 and throughout the process he was thorough, has a wonderful manner and a very professional approach. I am extremely grateful to him and his team for all the care and support.
All the staff were very professional and kept me updated on the procedure. The facilities were very good making my visit a very positive experience.
I suffer from PD and had a very distorted knee which exacerbated my lean to my right. I had a complete knee replacement under a spinal block which was difficult to administer due to my scoliosis but which gave me a better recovery path. I. Was able to achieve a 130 degree bend with my new knee after five weeks and have a straight leg which has improved my posture.
I was very nervous about my appt but mr Singisetti explained everything very calmly and was very thorough He spent a lot of time with me answering all the questions I had written down This is a big surgery so I needed to feel all my concerns were covered They were all covered I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Singisetti
Amazing can not fault care and outcome has been especially good no pain walking well and managing day to day activities independently
