Dr Katherine Fawbert

Dr Katherine Fawbert is an accomplished Consultant Paediatrician specialising in General Paediatrics with a dedicated focus on Paediatric Allergy. She provides compassionate, patient-centred care for infants, children, and young people, supporting families with clear communication and thorough medical evaluations. Working alongside multidisciplinary healthcare teams, Dr Fawbert is committed to delivering holistic care that prioritises the physical health, development, and overall well-being of every young patient.

Her clinical practice encompasses a broad range of paediatric conditions, with specialised expertise in paediatric allergic diseases, gastroenterology, and paediatric nutrition. Dr Fawbert assesses and treats children presenting with food allergies, eczema, asthma, allergic rhinitis, urticaria, angioedema, venom allergies, latex allergy, drug allergies, and anaphylaxis. She is skilled in administering advanced diagnostic and therapeutic care, including skin prick testing, supervised food and drug challenge sessions, and allergen desensitisation through sublingual and subcutaneous immunotherapy. In addition, she maintains a strong clinical interest in evaluating the nutritional status of children living with chronic and inflammatory conditions.

Dr Fawbert earned her Bachelor of Science with Honours (BSc Hons) and her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degrees. Demonstrating a strong dedication to academic excellence, she went on to complete a Master of Science (MSc) with distinction in clinical nutrition and child health. She is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH). Alongside her clinical duties, Dr Fawbert has served as a Medical Education Fellow and actively contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching, as well as the authoring of national paediatric examination revision resources.
