Dr Katharine Lancaster

Dr Katharine Lancaster is a highly skilled Consultant Plastic Surgeon who provides comprehensive reconstructive and aesthetic surgical care. Dedicated to delivering patient-centred treatment, she collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best possible outcomes and restore both form and function. Dr Lancaster is known for her reassuring, empathetic approach, ensuring that patients are fully informed and supported throughout their care journey.

Her primary clinical interests encompass complex reconstructive procedures, including breast reconstruction, colorectal reconstruction, gynaecological reconstruction, and complex abdominal wall repair. Dr Lancaster also possesses specialised expertise in microsurgery and aesthetic surgical techniques, as well as the surgical management of chronic skin conditions such as hidradenitis suppurativa. Alongside her clinical practice, she is deeply involved in medical education, regularly contributing to surgical training programmes and mentoring trainees.

Dr Lancaster earned her primary medical qualification from Imperial College London in 1997. She subsequently completed extensive surgical training before being appointed to a regional specialist training programme in plastic surgery. To refine her expertise, she undertook advanced sub-specialty fellowships in microsurgery and aesthetic surgery. Dr Lancaster was awarded her Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Plastic Surgery (FRCS Plast) in 2009.
