Dr Kapil Bakshi

Dr. Bakshi has over 20 years of experience as a psychiatrist. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (FRCPsych) and is registered with the General Medical Council as a specialist in General Adult Psychiatry and Substance Misuse Psychiatry. He is an Approved Clinician under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act as having specialist expertise in assessment and management of mental illness. Dr. Bakshi has special expertise in diagnosing and treating mental disorders. He has extensive experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist with the NHS, delivering care to working-age adults with a range of mental illnesses and disorders. Additionally, he has expertise in assessing and treating perinatal mental illnesses.

Dr. Bakshi serves on the Executive Committee of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, Eastern Division. He has held other significant roles, including Deputy Medical Director and College Tutor. He is currently on the Board of a national charitable organisation dedicated to supporting people with mental illness and substance misuse.

Dr Bakshi's specialist accreditation and expertise is in working with adults between the ages of 18 and 65 only. Patients over the age of 65 are therefore advised to seek assistance from a psychiatrist who specialises in older patient assessments.
