Dr Joshua Lauder

Dr Joshua Lauder is an accomplished Consultant Radiologist who provides comprehensive diagnostic imaging and image-guided therapeutic services. Specialising in musculoskeletal and head and neck radiology, he offers patient-focused care designed to deliver clear, timely, and accurate diagnostic insights. His clinical practice encompasses a broad range of diagnostic modalities, including general X-ray, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and diagnostic ultrasound. Working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary clinical teams, Dr Lauder ensures that each imaging investigation is carefully tailored to support precise diagnosis and facilitate optimal treatment planning.

Within his sub-specialist areas, Dr Lauder focuses on head and neck oncology imaging, soft tissue diagnostic evaluations, and complex musculoskeletal conditions. He regularly performs specialised diagnostic and interventional procedures, such as musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound-guided joint and soft tissue injections, fine-needle aspiration (FNA), and tissue biopsies. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr Lauder serves as a Senior Clinical Lecturer, contributing significantly to medical education and clinical anatomy training. He also maintains active involvement in clinical research, with a particular focus on the application of artificial intelligence in radiology to enhance image interpretation and patient outcomes.

Dr Lauder completed his undergraduate medical degree (MBChB) at the University of Manchester in 2012. Following his initial foundation training and an academic teaching appointment in human anatomy, he completed specialist higher training in clinical radiology in the North West of England, obtaining Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2018. He remains an active member of several professional organisations, including the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR), the British Society of Head and Neck Imaging (BSHNI), and the General Medical Council (GMC).
