About Mr Joshua Congdon
Josh Congdon is a musculoskeletal physiotherapist and the founder of Reflex-18 Injury Clinic, a healthcare service based in Stanway, Colchester that provides evidence-based rehabilitation and treatment for musculoskeletal conditions.
Josh graduated with a BSc in Sport and Exercise Performance from Writtle University College in 2009, followed by an MSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Essex in 2011. He later completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Imaging (Ultrasound) in 2018, and in 2020 achieved a Master’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
With more than a decade of clinical experience, including eight years in the NHS as a Clinical Specialist, Josh has worked across hospital, private practice, and sports settings. His career includes roles at Ipswich Town Football Club’s academy and, more recently, with Colchester Rugby Club.
His areas of expertise include exercise prescription, orthopaedic rehabilitation, and the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal pain, with a particular interest in lower limb injuries. He combines progressive rehabilitation techniques with hands-on treatment to support patients in returning to physical activity.
Outside of clinical practice, Josh enjoys spending time with his family and exploring new adventures together.

Joshua was very friendly and professional listened and asked questions regarding how my son sustained his injury to his ankle. A thorough examination was given and then Joshua explained what he believed the injury to be and what my son needed to do to help mend the ankle. He was taken to the gym and shown strengthening exercises and advised to wear a supportive brace which we have now and is definitely helping. We have a follow up appointment in 2 weeks.
