Mr Jonathan R L Wild

Mr Jonathon Wild, Consultant Colorectal and Peritoneal Surgeon, currently works within The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, working within their Complex Pelvic Oncology and Peritoneal Tumour Service. He also sees patients in a private setting at HCA Christie Private Care and HCA Wilmslow hospitals. He is highly specialised in general surgery, colorectal surgery and peritoneal oncology.

Mr Wild began his medical education at Sheffield Medical School graduated in 2004. He then proceeded to undergo foundation and Higher Speciality Training in Surgery at the Yorkshire School of Surgery. During his training, he was also awarded a Master's in Medical Law and Ethics, as well as a PhD for his research work. After concluding his specialist training he underwent fellowships in Dublin, Leeds, and Australia focusing on advanced laparoscopic colorectal surgery, and advanced pelvic oncology and peritoneal surface malignancy.

Mr Wild is an actively engaged educator being the first diplomate to be appointed a member of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, he is currently the Training Lead for the Colorectal and Peritoneal Oncology Centre. He is also an active researcher with several articles published focusing on appendiceal and colorectal tumours. He has also been appointed Honorary Senior Lecturer at Edgehill University.
