Dr. Jonathan Baggott

Dr. Jonathan Baggott is a highly accomplished Consultant Psychiatrist who provides patient-centred, evidence-based care to adolescents and adults. With a clinical approach focused on recovery, improvement, and collaborative decision-making, he specialises in treating a comprehensive range of mental health conditions. Dr. Baggott is particularly recognised for his expertise in managing complex personality difficulties and eating disorders, utilising a compassionate and empathetic methodology that integrates both pharmaceutical treatments and talking therapies to support his patients' well-being.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Baggott has held several senior leadership roles within both the National Health Service (NHS) and the private sector, both in the United Kingdom and internationally. He has served as a Specialist Clinical Director within the NHS, a Lead Consultant for a specialist mental health charity, and the Head of Psychiatry for an international hospital in the Arabian Gulf. Additionally, he has contributed to the wider medical community as a Clinical Lecturer at UK medical schools and as a Medical Specialist Advisor on eating disorders to the Care Quality Commission.

Dr. Baggott graduated from the University of Leicester with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB). After initially working in medicine and surgery, he completed his higher training in general psychiatry through the Trent rotational psychiatry training scheme and was appointed as a Consultant Psychiatrist on the specialist register in 2005. He is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych). Furthermore, he has completed advanced training as an Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) Therapist in Leicester and as a Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Therapist with Behavioural Tech in Seattle, USA.
