Dr John Paul Rocchiccioli

Dr John Paul Rocchiccioli is a Consultant Cardiologist specializing in general and interventional cardiology, with subspecialty expertise in sports cardiology. He completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of Glasgow and subsequently undertook higher specialist postgraduate training in Cardiology across the West of Scotland rotation, completing his specialty training (CCT) in 2014. He was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist later that same year.

His clinical practice covers the full spectrum of general cardiology and complex coronary interventions. In his sports cardiology practice, Dr Rocchiccioli provides dedicated cardiac screening, diagnostic evaluation, and performance management for professional and recreational athletes across major sporting organizations, including the Scottish Rugby Union (SRU) and the Scottish Football Association (SFA).

Adopting a person-centred approach, Dr Rocchiccioli works closely with patients to assess, communicate, and manage individual cardiovascular risk factors, optimizing lifestyle and therapeutic strategies for long-term cardiovascular health.
