About Dr Eileen Peat
Dr Eileen Peat graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Medical Science from the University of St Andrews before completing her medical degree at the University of Aberdeen in 1996. After her junior doctor training at the Western Infirmary, Glasgow, she undertook research at the University of Glasgow, earning her Doctorate of Medicine (MD). She went on to complete specialist registrar training in cardiology across the Glasgow teaching hospitals.
In 2009, Dr Peat was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley.
Her specialist interests include exercise testing in both health and heart disease, the subject of her doctoral thesis, and the management of coronary artery disease (chest pain). She is also highly experienced in permanent pacemaker implantation and provides comprehensive care in all aspects of general cardiology, including the management of heart failure, valvular heart disease, atrial fibrillation, palpitations, and hypertension.
