Dr John McArthur

Dr John McArthur is a dedicated Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who provides expert care for patients suffering from musculoskeletal conditions and complex traumatic injuries. Specialising in lower limb arthroplasty and severe bone trauma, he works closely with care teams to deliver tailored, evidence-based treatment plans. His primary objective is to help individuals regain mobility, alleviate pain, and achieve the best possible quality of life following injury or joint degeneration.

Dr McArthur completed his medical degree at the University of Birmingham, qualifying in 2004. He went on to earn a Master of Science degree from the University of Warwick. To refine his surgical skills, he completed basic surgical training in the West Midlands alongside higher surgical training in orthopaedics, followed by specialist fellowship training focusing on trauma, lower limb arthroplasty, and pelvic and acetabular reconstruction. He holds professional memberships with the British Medical Association, the Orthopaedic Trauma Society, and AO Trauma.

In his clinical practice, Dr McArthur focuses on advanced surgical solutions for complex joint and bone conditions. His key areas of expertise include primary hip replacement, revision hip replacement, total knee replacement, and complex fracture management. Serving as a Clinical Lead for orthopaedic trauma, he remains dedicated to maintaining exceptionally high standards of surgical care and supporting patients through every stage of their recovery.
