Dr John Griffiths is a highly experienced specialist in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine, with a career dedicated to delivering safe, effective, and patient-centred care. He completed his medical training at Oxford University and St Bartholomew’s Medical School in London in 1995, before going on to achieve Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 1999. He was later awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2002 and Fellowship of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine in 2006.
In 2009, Dr Griffiths was appointed Consultant in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust. His clinical focus is on ensuring patients are fully prepared for surgery, maintaining safety throughout anaesthesia, and supporting optimal pain management and post-operative recovery.
Dr Griffiths provides anaesthesia for procedures including breast reconstructive and hernia surgery, and offers services such as cardiopulmonary exercise testing and intravenous sedation. He works closely within a multidisciplinary team of highly respected surgeons and specialists to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.
