Mr Francis had studied my scan before we had our telephone consultation and took careful note of my symptoms before he suggested my next step. He explained that he would be writing a letter for me to give to my GP requesting a further scan. Both his secretaries were very helpful in extracting my scan from the hospital so that Mr Francis would have it to hand. Due to the hospital having misspelled my name, this was not easy but they persevered and very sweetly reassured me that all would be well. In short, I am very pleased with my telephone consultation and look forward to continuing in their care.

I met with Mr Francis today after having a bad back for over 20 years that had been playing up again recently, he listened to what I have been experiencing, answered all my questions and provided insight and ideas to improve my situation. Mr Francis was professional, kind, supportive and sympathetic. I look forward to Mr Francis’s write up of my appointment and best steps moving forward. I wouldn’t hesitate in seeing Mr Francis again if required. The appointment was on time and very productive.

Appointment was on time. Mr Francis was very friendly and explained my condition and the next stages in detail that I could understand whilst listening to my concerns.

I felt immediately at ease with Mr Francis. He obviuosly questioned me about the history and timeline of my lower back problems and previous health issues. He also spent considerable time researching my personal background and living living conditions, living arrangements, and lifestyle. He made notes of my current situation with regards as to how the problem is affecting my daily life and how I was coping with any discomfort. We reviwed my MRI scan together and he pointed out where the problems were and what could be done to return to a more normal life. A few days later, Mr Francis sent me a report of our meeting and it was outstanding. It covered everything we had discussed in great detail and explained what could be done to alleviate my problems.

It was an absolute pleasure meeting Mr Francis on 29 September 2026 at the Spire Lea Hospital Cambridge. He came highly recommended from my Brother in Law, a fellow colleague at Addenbrooke’s Hospital Cambridge. He had a very nice manner and understood the discomfort from my back problem. He had my back history and after examination determined that my back problem required a different approach which could be ratified from an MRI scan. He said he would write to my GP asking for the scan to be carried out locally with the results sent to him for evaluation. Depending on the results would determine his course of action. Mr Francis gave me absolute confidence in his ability in identifying the cause, and remedial treatment necessary to overcome my back problem.

Had appointment Mr Francis for my problem was sceptical about finding what was wrong with me having had physio. Had shoe inserts etc nothing helped. Wow was I wrong Mr Francis was polite friendly caring.listened to my problem. Took time to explain what the problem could be and more tests needed. Thank you Mr Francis.
