Mr Jayasimha Abbaraju

Mr Jayasimha Abbaraju is a Consultant Urological Surgeon with over two decades of clinical experience. After completing his initial medical education in India at Osmania Medical College, he moved to the United Kingdom to pursue intensive higher surgical training and has since built a successful career within the NHS, earning a Master's degree in Urology from University College London alongside his Fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

His clinical practice at Darent Valley Hospital encompasses a broad spectrum of elective and emergency urological care, with a significant focus on oncology and technical proficiency in diagnostic and minimally invasive interventions for benign and malignant conditions. He chairs the prostate MRI review and multidisciplinary MDM streamlining meetings, bringing together radiologists, pathologists, oncologists, specialist nurses, and surgeons to ensure individualised care, while remaining dedicated to research, including published work on rare cases such as gallbladder cancer metastasising to the urinary bladder.
