Dr James Stanley

Dr James Stanley is a GP based in Gloucester, registered with the General Medical Council (GMC 7285162) and a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP). He graduated in medicine from the University of Nottingham in 2012 and completed his GP training in Gloucestershire.

He has worked as a GP partner and salaried partner in NHS practices, including rural and large urban settings, and in private general practice. His experience covers child safeguarding, nursing home care, and mentoring and teaching colleagues. He currently works in the Gloucestershire GP Out-of-Hours service, providing NHS 111 clinical triage, face-to-face consultations and home visits.

Dr Stanley is the founder of HealthBridge Occupational Health, a remote, GP-led service for UK employers and employees. It provides clear, practical assessments for fitness for work, return to work, sickness absence and reasonable adjustments, usually within 3-5 working days.

He is also a funded researcher, holding a Research Capability Funding grant to investigate new treatment approaches for fibromyalgia. He has a particular interest in how AI and digital tools can make care safer and more efficient.
