As before, found Dr Jo so easy to talk to and ask questions etc. She's really lovely!
I had a really useful meeting with Dr Burgin who was very knowledgeable, personable and practical. I was looking for some reassurance that I am approaching my HRT in the right way and whether there is anything else I should be thinking about given my symptoms and family history. Dr Burgin gave me some good tips and we talked across a number of areas - it was really good to have the time to do that, without feeling rushed.
I can’t recommend Dr Jo enough. I felt heard, understood and so relieved to have someone with such expertise, kindness and honesty to help guide me on the next stage of this journey. Thank you Jo!
Lovely GP, very easy to talk to. Happy with the outcome. Highly recommend
My appointment was with Dr. Jo Burgin who was absolutely OUTSTANDING. She was exceptionally generous with her time, knowledgeable, thorough, patient, warm, reassuring and answered all of my questions with very clear explanations. She gave balanced and excellent guidance regarding taking HRT as a woman in my early 60s and helped me to reach a helpful conclusion regarding the way forward. The follow-up email to summarise the appointment (also forwarded to my GP) was done in a very timely way and it was helpful to have all the information written down for further reflection. Having had a very limited appointment time with my GP previously, after a recent diagnosis of osteoporosis, and not feeling well informed or supported by my GP, meeting Dr Jo Burgin was an absolute pleasure and a breath of fresh air. If you are in any doubt about this clinic…. make an appointment! Best wishes to you all at the clinic . Cheryl
I immediately felt welcome and at ease having been anxious in the run up to the appointment following a recent negative GP experience elsewhere. Dr Burgin listened to my concerns and tailored advice to my specificic needs and circumstances. I felt cared for as a whole person and empowered to make positive changes to support my health.
Dr Burgin was very friendly and knowledgeable. She talked me through all aspects of the menopause and answered any questions that I had. She listened to my issues and went through my medical history with me. She was very thorough and very helpful. I am very glad that I met with her.
Dr Jo is wonderful. She put me at ease, answered all questions thoroughly (including some I hadn’t thought to ask but would have needed) and is the right mix of friendly and professional.
I wanted to share how positive my most recent appointment was with Dr Jo Burgin at Bristol Menopause Clinic. From the outset, Dr Burgin made me feel truly heard, believed and validated. She took the time to really understand my experiences of PMDD and perimenopause, and approached my care with compassion, depth of knowledge and genuine curiosity. I felt supported and involved throughout the consultation, with clear explanations and thoughtful discussion around my options. Since the appointment, I honestly cannot believe the difference I feel within myself. The impact on my wellbeing has been profound, and I feel much more settled, hopeful and connected to my body. Dr Burgin’s approach is everything you would hope for in menopause care: person-centred, informed and deeply respectful. I am incredibly grateful for her support and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone navigating PMDD or their perimenopause journey.
