Mr James Simmons

Mr James Simmons is a Senior MSK Physiotherapist and Shoulder Clinic Lead at Real Health London and Whittington Hospital. Graduating with a BSc in Physiotherapy in Australia in 2018, he initially built extensive clinical experience in private practice and working with semi-professional sports teams in ice hockey and Australian Rules Football. Moving to the UK, he has spent over four years in NHS healthcare settings delivering advanced musculoskeletal care and leading specialist shoulder services.

His focus centres on diagnosing and managing complex shoulder conditions, supported by advanced postgraduate training in shockwave therapy, dry needling, and targeted shoulder rehabilitation. Mr Simmons adopts an evidence-based approach that combines hands-on therapies, targeted strength conditioning, and functional retraining. By tailoring treatment plans to individual movement goals, he helps patients to restore joint mechanics, manage pain, and achieve long-term physical recovery.
