Mr. Logan undertook orthopaedic hand surgery fellowships with Professor David Warwick at University Hospital Southampton and Professor Mark Ross at Brisbane Hand and Upper Limb unit in Queensland Australia. He also undertook a specialist orthoplastics hand surgery fellowship at University Hospitals Birmingham, further broading his scope of practice as well as skill and experience.
Mr. Logan completed his initial Medical training at Imperial College School of Medicine in 2007 before beginning his medical career as a houseman at the Royal Surrey County Hospital. Following this, he underwent Surgical training in the Wessex Deanery before returning to the Guildford Deanery to take up a post as a consultant hand and orthopaedic surgeon in 2019. In between he completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine from Cardiff Metropolitan University, in 2015.

Mr Logan explained all options available to me which was very clear and concise of the procedures.

James Logan clearly explained the options open to me in treating my arthritis and left me well informed and thus able to make a decision. The operation he later performed went very well and the subsequent aftercare and checks were all one could ask for.
