I was seen very quickly and given detailed explanation of the steps that would be taken to identify the cause of my problem.

I have complications with the heart. These were professionally addressed and I was reassured that the knee procedure would be dealt with taking into account the heart issues, and so it proved. The whole team expertly agreed the operation and I put my swift recovery down to the early consultation. I am enjoying my new freedom and thank all concerned, and am indebted to Mr Riley who lead the team, in what for me was a stressful experience.

Mr Riley took care to explain the whole procedure for my knee replacement, the risks and post operative care needed. He listened carefully to my concerns and answered all my questions. He took pains to emphasise that he was part of a team, which included post-operative care and myself. He explained he would see me the day following the operation, and again in a few weeks and then after 6 months. At all times he has been very professional and understanding.

I found Mr Riley very patient and understanding. He was able to explain the problem with my knee and was happy to discuss alternative approaches to manage the problem. I appreciated the fact that his secretary is easy to contact directly and that she arranged for me to speak to him on the phone when I had a concern about the effect of the steroid injection. Mr Riley understood that I needed to remain active before any future surgery and his recommendation of using a knee brace to help manage the knee pain in the meantime has proved very helpful.

He was easy to talk to and gave his professional opinion as to how to move forward with my recovery. He answered all my questions in a manner I could totally understand.
