Jack recently performed a surgery on one of my eyes, had few meetings with Jack before surgery, and would say he is very through in his investigations, and recommendations for best outcome. I am more than happy with my surgery and it's results.
Mr Gormley is a very attentive, caring and patient-centric surgeon. He explained the surgery very well, and was updating me throughout the procedure with every little detail of where people, objects or his hands were going to be so nothing came as a surprise, as obviously, my vision was very limited during the eye procedure. He was very reassuring and I left feeling very positive about, what had been, a stressful scenario for me beforehand. I highly recommend Mr Gormley
I attended Optegra Eye hospital Manchester for cataract lens replacement on both eyes. Jack came to see me pre op to check that I was feeling ok about the procedure. All the pre op staff were excellent in making me feel less nervous. The operation was completely painless and Jack’s commentary throughout the procedure was extremely reassuring and helped me relax. After the operation I was given all the necessary eye drops with detailed instructions on how to use them. The overall results have been beyond expectations, even the day after the procedure I could see clearly without glasses.
Having been a little anxious before the procedure I was made to feel very relaxed and at ease. Everything was explained clearly before surgery and I felt comfortable all the way through the procedure. Jack was very calm, reassuring and professional and showed genuine concern for my well being before, during and after the surgery. I don’t see how the service could be improved.
Can’t speak too highly of the treatment from telephone call pre op through the whole procedure and follow up call he was the consummate polite professional . I was nervous about the op but the whole experience was well handled and the results are exceptional Would highly recommend
Very professional and all the processes were very clearly explained pre, post and during the operation
The total experience was 5*. Jack was friendly and professional, courteous and kind, everything a doctor should be!
I was a little nervous, obviously, someone is going to cut open my eyes, I couldn't feel anything, very relaxed and Jack explained everything as he was doing it; apart from the cutting bits, very highly recommend
My surgeon, Mr Jack Gormley was on a different level not only in his professionalism, but also his calm nature and explanation of the whole process, including advising me on the best lenses to have fitted and explaining the reasons behind this. If I would’ve gone with my first option, I think I would’ve possibly regretted it in time due to my previous experiences with corrective eye surgery. There is a reason Mr Gormley was recommended to me by 2 separate people before I even enquired about having lens replacements and I can now see why. I honestly believe his genuine concern for his patient goes above and beyond what he is there and paid for. He genuinely cares and wants what’s best for you as the patient, even if that means you not having surgery at all. His honesty and knowledge is easily visible and he and his staff just make the whole process a lot less stressful than it already is. I would without doubt Recommend Jack as he is a credit to not only his employer but also to his profession. I can’t speak highly enough of his work and after care as his genuine concern of you as a patient, I believe it unique.
