Dr Ivan Timofeev

Dr Ivan Timofeev is an accomplished Consultant Neurosurgeon specialising in cranial and spinal neurosurgery, neurotrauma, and adult spinal disease. With a patient-centred approach, he provides expert care for individuals facing complex neurological conditions, severe head injuries, and spinal disorders. His practice encompasses comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, surgical interventions, and post-operative care, ensuring every patient receives a tailored treatment plan designed to restore function and improve overall quality of life.

As a highly trained Consultant Neurosurgeon, Dr Timofeev possesses sub-specialist expertise in managing acute neurotrauma, brain oedema, and traumatic brain injury. His surgical skills cover decompressive craniectomy, cranioplasty, complex spinal surgery, and the surgical management of spinal cord pathologies. In addition to his clinical practice, he is dedicated to neurosurgical research, focusing on multimodality neuromonitoring, cerebrovascular reactivity, and improving clinical outcomes following major trauma, ensuring his patients benefit from modern, evidence-based care.

Dr Timofeev earned his medical degree with honours (MD Hons) before completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focused on clinical neurosciences.
