Ms Ileana Anderco

Miss Ileana Anderco is a highly experienced ENT Consultant with over 20 years of clinical expertise and is fully registered with the GMC Specialist Register. She practices at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, where she manages a wide range of adult and paediatric ENT conditions with a special focus on paediatric ENT and otology.

Miss Anderco’s extensive expertise encompasses the management of complex middle ear and mastoid infections, surgical reconstruction, ossiculoplasty, and the fitting of bone-anchored hearing aids. She also delivers intratympanic therapy for vertigo and Meniere’s disease, and conducts combined ENT/audiology clinics addressing both congenital and acquired hearing loss.

Miss Anderco has a strong focus on paediatric ENT, skillfully diagnosing and treating conditions such as drooling, tongue tie, recurrent ear and throat infections, hearing loss, and neck lumps. With over 15 years of NHS experience, she has performed an impressive volume of procedures including coblation tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, grommet insertions, septoplasties, and endoscopic biopsies.

As Head of the ENT Department, she leads research, audits, and education, serving as a GMC-recognised trainer and Honorary Lecturer at Edge Hill University. Her professional, approachable, and empathetic nature continues to inspire both colleagues and the next generation of clinicians.
