Dr Heidi Tempest

Dr Heidi Tempest is an experienced Consultant Urological Surgeon who provides comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic care for a broad spectrum of urological conditions. Recognised for her patient-centred approach, she combines clinical excellence with compassionate communication to ensure individuals feel fully informed and reassured throughout their treatment journey. Her clinical practice spans core urology, day surgery, and advanced minimally invasive procedures designed to support recovery and optimise patient outcomes.

Dr Tempest earned her medical degree from the University of Cambridge before undertaking basic surgical training in Norwich. She subsequently conducted postgraduate clinical research on human bladder pharmacology, earning a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Cambridge in 2004. Following specialist registrar training across regional training schemes, she completed an advanced international fellowship at specialist stone and bladder centres in Vancouver, Canada. Her formal qualifications include a Master of Arts (MA), Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS), and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Urology (FRCS (Urol)). She is an active Member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons.

In her day-to-day practice, Dr Tempest maintains a dedicated clinical focus on lower urinary tract dysfunction, bladder disorders, and urinary tract stone management. She is highly skilled in performing diagnostic procedures, including flexible cystoscopy, as well as complex stone surgery and minimally invasive interventions. Beyond her direct clinical commitments, she serves as an Educational Supervisor and Clinical Lead in health technology, contributing to high standards in surgical education and exploring innovative care models to enhance patient access to specialist urological services.
