Dr Hannah Wainman

 Hannah worked as a GP partner for 6 years before moving to dermatology. She completed the CESR/portfolio pathway to consultant in March 2023. Her background as a GP has led to an interest in education and research at the primary/secondary care interface. She is undertaking an NIHR Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Bristol to ‘Improve the Diagnosis and initial management of Hidradenitis Suppurativa in primary
care’ (ID-HS).  

She specialises in medical dermatology, particularly chronic wounds and hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). She co-leads the tertiary HS service in Bristol and is currently leading a research project funded by the UK DCTN on pain management in HS.  

 ​She is an associate editor for Skin Health and Disease and is a member of the BAD Therapy and Guidelines subcommittee and the British Society of Medical Dermatology Committee.
