  • Skin cancers and suspect skin cancers including melanoma, basal cell carcinoma (BCC), squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and other skin tumours
  • Cosmetic dermatology concerns including skin ageing, hyperpigmentation and melasma, acne scarring and photodamage (due to excessive sun exposure)

Dr Murphy regularly performs a variety of dermatological surgeries, which can be discussed and planned for at consultation if indicated. These include cryotherapy, skin biopsy, curettage, shave and excision.

With a passion for promoting skin cancer prevention, he previously sat on the Northern Ireland Skin Cancer Prevention Strategy Group with Cancer Focus NI, and is a past Multidisciplinary Team Improvement Lead and Chair of the Northern Ireland Regional Skin Cancer MDT Meeting. He always strives to educate and empower his patients in managing and understanding their diagnosis. He has authored/co-authored several peer-reviewed articles in the medical literature. Dr Murphy sits on the Guidelines and Therapeutics Subcommittee for the British Association of Dermatologists.

Dr Murphy also has experience in chairing medical meetings and providing educational talks and lectures on various aspects of dermatology. Requests for educational, commercial or event speaker will be considered. At this time, he does not offer medico-legal services.
