Dr Hannah Mcconkey

Dr Hannah McConkey is a dedicated Consultant Cardiologist specialising in the comprehensive assessment and management of cardiovascular health. She provides patient-centred care designed to address a broad range of heart conditions, balancing modern clinical evidence with a reassuring and empathetic approach. Dr McConkey works closely with patients to deliver accurate diagnoses, clear explanation of conditions, and structured individual care plans.

With a strong background in Interventional Cardiology, Dr McConkey has specific expertise in valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease, and cardiac microvascular dysfunction. Her clinical interest extends to complex valve pathology, including calcific coronary disease, aortic stenosis, and chronic aortic regurgitation. She is actively involved in assessing patients for specialist procedures such as transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) and cardiac catheterisation, ensuring optimal clinical decision-making and high standards of safety.

Dr McConkey studied medicine at Cambridge University and King's College London, graduating in 2007. She subsequently completed a British Heart Foundation Clinical Research Training Fellowship, earning a PhD for her research into paradoxical low-gradient aortic stenosis. Demonstrating an ongoing commitment to leadership and standard-setting in her field, she serves as a Council Member for the British Heart Valve Society and holds membership within the European Society of Cardiology Council on Valvular Heart Disease.
