Dr Hannah Baynes

Dr Hannah Baynes is a highly dedicated Consultant Paediatrician who specialises in general paediatrics and adolescent care. As a Clinical Lead in her field, she is deeply committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and patient-centred care for children and young people. Dr Baynes also co-leads a specialised adolescent outreach service, which focuses on supporting young patients transitioning through healthcare services. Her clinical approach prioritises creating a reassuring and supportive environment for both young patients and their families.

With a strong focus on adolescent medicine, Dr Baynes is passionate about improving the overall healthcare experience for young adults. Her areas of clinical interest include adolescent care and transition, general paediatrics, and patient experience. In addition to her clinical work, she is heavily involved in medical education and medical simulation, helping to train the next generation of healthcare professionals. She is also a strong advocate for inclusive, non-judgemental care, ensuring that all young people feel safe and respected during their medical journeys.

Dr Baynes qualified in 2000, earning her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) alongside a Bachelor of Science with Honours (BSc Hons) from a prominent medical school in London. She then completed her postgraduate paediatric training in South London. Dr Baynes is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH). Demonstrating her commitment to the advancement of youth healthcare, she also serves as a member of the Advisory Council for the Association for Young People's Health.
