Dr Hamzah Soleiman

Dr Hamzah Soleiman is a highly skilled Consultant Neurosurgeon and Consultant Spinal Surgeon dedicated to delivering patient-centred, evidence-based care. Specialising in neurosurgery with a focus on complex spinal pathology, Dr Soleiman diagnoses and manages a broad spectrum of cranial and spinal conditions. His practice encompasses comprehensive care for adults presenting with degenerative spinal disorders, spinal trauma, spinal tumours, and acute neurosurgical conditions. With a professional and reassuring approach, Dr Soleiman ensures that every patient receives clear communication, empathetic guidance, and a treatment plan tailored to their individual needs.

In his clinical practice, Dr Soleiman possesses expertise in both open and minimally invasive surgical techniques across the entire length of the spine. His clinical interests include the emergency and elective management of cauda equina syndrome, sciatica, severe back pain, spinal cord compression, and spinal infections. He is experienced in utilising modern intraoperative technologies, including three-dimensional navigation systems, to perform precise spinal decompressions, spinal stabilisations, and complex reconstructions. In addition to his clinical work, Dr Soleiman actively contributes to research in neurosurgical outcomes, acute spinal trauma protocols, and spinal oncology.

Dr Soleiman completed his primary medical degree (MBBS) before undertaking extensive surgical and neurosurgical training. He completed his Basic Surgical Training in the Midlands, followed by Higher Specialty Training in Neurosurgery in London and Edinburgh. To further refine his surgical craft, he completed dedicated postgraduate fellowships in complex spinal surgery. Dr Soleiman holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree, Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Surgical Neurology, FRCS(SN), and Fellowship of the European Board of Neurological Surgery, FEBNS.
