Mr Iyer was outstanding throughout my brain tumour experience. In the guest consultation he clearly explained the situation, the unknowns and what my options were. We met again prior to surgery, and he then carried out a 10-hour procedure which completely removed the tumour from a complex and delicate part of the brain. He visited me a number of times following surgery, including on Christmas Day. His expertise, speed of response and overall care was nothing short of exceptional
Mr Iyer and his Neuro surgical team helped my son and our family through a brain tumour diagnosis and treatment. Thankfully it was treatable and he has now been discharged. I felt he was in expert hands for the whole of his treatment.
Hugely appreciative of being treated by such a skilled, knowledgeable, professional. At every meeting he took time to explain fully diagnosis, scans, prognosis and the necessary details of the surgical procedure for me to feel confident in handing my care to him. He gave me time for questions which he answered fully. I am sure my recovery has been so good due to his surgical expertise. Was useful having access for queries through his efficient secretaries. The NHS working at its best.
I would recommend Venkat Iyer to anyone. He is very passionate about what he does.
