Dr Hala Alsafadi

Dr Hala Alsafadi is a highly accomplished Consultant Physician specialising in Endocrinology & Diabetes, as well as General (Internal) Medicine and Acute Medicine. With a patient-centred approach, she is dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care for individuals living with complex endocrine disorders and diabetes. Her clinical practice focuses on empowering patients through education and tailored treatment plans, ensuring they can manage their conditions safely and effectively in their daily lives.

Throughout her career, Dr Alsafadi has developed a particular interest in the management of both type 1 and type 2 diabetes, as well as rarer forms such as type 3c diabetes. She is highly skilled in utilising advanced diabetes technologies, including continuous glucose monitoring systems and insulin pumps, to optimise glycaemic control. Additionally, she has a strong interest in community-based diabetes care and has published research on managing diabetes during significant life events, such as religious fasting during Ramadan and travel for Hajj. Her expertise also extends to treating endocrine-related conditions, such as IgG4-related disease and neuroendocrine tumours.

Dr Alsafadi completed her medical education and went on to achieve her postgraduate qualification from the Royal College of Physicians. She holds a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Diabetes and Endocrinology, which marks her as a fully qualified Specialist in her field. Committed to clinical excellence and the advancement of medical knowledge, she actively participates in research, has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, and is involved in developing local diabetes strategies to improve patient access and care equity.
