Dr Gillian Ingram

Dr Gillian Ingram is an experienced Consultant Neurologist dedicated to providing high-quality care for patients with complex neurological conditions. She specialises in evaluating, diagnosing, and managing disorders affecting the central and peripheral nervous systems, with a clear focus on compassionate and comprehensive patient support. Dr Ingram works closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure each patient receives holistic, individualised care tailored to their specific health goals and lifestyle.

Her primary clinical interest encompasses neuroinflammatory disorders, with a particular focus on multiple sclerosis and autoimmune conditions such as myasthenia gravis. Dr Ingram is deeply committed to advancing clinical care through modern therapeutic interventions, including disease-modifying therapies, specialised drug infusions, and peripheral plasma exchange. She is also passionate about patient education, supporting newly diagnosed individuals through structured information sessions and shared decision-making to help them manage their long-term health.

Dr Ingram completed her medical degree at the University of Sheffield before undertaking higher specialist medical and neurological training in South Wales. She earned a PhD in 2011 focusing on genetic and serological biomarkers in multiple sclerosis, supported by dedicated research grant funding. In addition to her clinical practice, she serves as an Honorary Senior Lecturer, remaining actively involved in national and international clinical trials, medical education, and ongoing research into the immunological and epidemiological aspects of neurological disease.
