Dr George Gorrie

Dr George Gorrie is an experienced Consultant Neurologist who provides expert assessment, diagnosis, and care for patients experiencing a wide range of neurological conditions. Dedicated to delivering thoughtful, patient-centred care, he works closely alongside multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure every individual receives a comprehensive and supportive treatment plan. His clinical approach balances advanced medical knowledge with clear, compassionate communication to help patients and their families navigate complex neurological health concerns.

With extensive expertise in neurodegenerative medicine, Dr Gorrie maintains a strong clinical focus on motor neurone disease (MND) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). He is deeply involved in clinical research and landmark therapeutic trials aimed at identifying progressive treatments for neurodegenerative conditions. Dr Gorrie earned a Master of Arts in Medical Sciences and Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge before completing his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) at the University of Edinburgh. He subsequently completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Cell Biology and Neuropharmacology at University College London.
