Dr Fay Greenway

Dr Fay Greenway is a dedicated Consultant Neurosurgeon who provides expert, reassuring care for patients facing complex cranial and spinal conditions. She approaches every patient with empathy and clarity, ensuring individuals and their families understand their treatment options fully. Working as part of multidisciplinary clinical teams, Dr Greenway is committed to delivering individualised, patient-focused care aimed at achieving the highest standards of safety and recovery.

Her clinical practice encompasses a broad spectrum of neurosurgical care, with a special interest in brain and spine neurotrauma, degenerative spinal conditions, and spinal malignancies. Dr Greenway has extensive expertise in managing traumatic brain injuries, performing complex cranial reconstruction, and delivering surgical interventions for spinal tumours. Utilising both instrumented and non-instrumented techniques, she offers tailored surgical solutions to manage spinal degeneration, reduce discomfort, and restore function.

Dr Greenway commenced her academic journey by earning an undergraduate degree in Human Genetics from Leeds University in 2000, before completing her medical qualification (MBChB) at Leicester-Warwick Medical School in 2007. Following foundational doctor training and general surgical training in South East England, she ranked top nationally to secure a competitive Neurosurgery training position in the South Thames region. She subsequently achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Surgical Neurology (FRCS SN). She maintains active involvement in international professional organisations, including the Society of British Neurological Surgeons and the International NeuroTrauma Society.

Beyond her direct patient care, Dr Greenway holds key clinical leadership roles, serving as a Lead for Neurotrauma and Clinical Governance Lead. She actively drives clinical research as a principal investigator in neurotrauma trials, helping to shape modern treatment pathways. Dedicated to fostering the next generation of medical professionals, she also acts as an educational supervisor and contributes extensively to undergraduate and postgraduate medical training.
