We couldn’t be more grateful to Dr. Shawkat for helping us through the pregnancy and delivering our beautiful, healthy baby girl. Coming from the USA, we knew that we wanted the reassurance and personalised care of a private clinic to help us navigate the pregnancy, and choosing Dr. Shawkat was one of the best decisions we made. From our very first appointment, she was calm, kind, incredibly knowledgeable, and thoughtful. We always felt listened to, reassured, and genuinely cared for at every step. The clinic itself is beautiful, clean, and welcoming, and the entire team was wonderful. Everyone was so helpful, accommodating, and attentive, which made what can be an overwhelming experience feel incredibly calm and supported. I also had the most wonderful C-section experience. Everything was so calm, reassuring, and well organised, and it was honestly everything I could have hoped for. Dr. Shawkat made me feel completely safe and in the best possible hands. Even my scar is barely noticeable, which has been an added bonus! Most importantly, we are incredibly thankful to have welcomed our healthy baby girl into the world with Dr. Shawkat caring for us. We will always be grateful for the kindness, expertise, and care she gave our family, and we cannot recommend her highly enough.

Dr Shawkat delivered my second baby via c section late in 2025. It was a real joy to see her for monthly appointments in the run up to birth and hugely reassuring knowing she would be delivering my daughter. She's incredibly kind and considerate, and both me and my husband felt extremely well cared for from our very first appointment, right through to the post birth debrief.

Dr. Emma saw us after a complication presented early on in my pregnancy. We called that morning, and by that afternoon, we had already had the consultation, scan, diagnosis, and a plan. We were put at ease and reassured by Dr. Emma’s explanation, experience, and advice.

Highly recommend Emma and the team at HCA Healthcare, I was dealt with professionalism, care and had the added bonus of getting to know my consultant throughout my pregnancy which made me feel like a person and more at ease, the clinic is also brand new and such a positive calming experience. Going into my c section in the knowledge that the team knew about me personally and saw me regularly was so valuable. Although a last minute complication meant I did not end up having my c section with Emma I still received support from her and the team even on the day and if I am lucky enough to be pregnant again in the future I will definitely want Emma to be my consultant again.
