Dr Emily Hale is a Clinical Psychologist who has worked in mental health for over 10 years. She completed her clinical training at the University of Exeter and has experience working in the NHS and private mental health services.
Dr. Hale understands that seeking help from a mental health professional can be a stressful experience for both the young person and their family. She provides a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment where they can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
In her work, Dr. Hale collaborates with young people and their families, using evidence-based approaches to reduce psychological distress and improve their quality of life. She has expertise in assessing conditions related to brain development, learning difficulties, and various mental health issues like depression, anxiety, PTSD, self-esteem problems, phobias, ARFID (Avoidant and Restrictive Food Intake Disorder), and OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder).
Dr. Hale understands that every individual is unique, and there's no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. She customises her approach to meet the specific needs and preferences of each person she works with. Dr Hale is a registered clinical psychologist with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) and has charted membership with the BPS (British Psychological Society).

Emily was friendly and professional in every aspect of the appointment
Our teenage son has been seeing Dr Hale, on a weekly basis, for 8 months. She is immensely knowledgeable and supportive of our son’s autism and OCD, the latter of which was brought on by nine years of traumatic mainstream school experience. This highly approachable, kind, fun, and genuinely caring doctor has been assisting both him, us and his teachers with this debilitating condition. She is a consummate professional, supporting him both at school and during his school breaks and holidays, at home. Our son always looks forward to his sessions with her, and is so uplifted and empowered after each and every one of them. Thanks to Dr Hale’s dedication, diligence and highly effective therapies, our son’s self-confidence and self-belief is returning, his mood and attitude is much improved and he is making significant progress both academically and socially. We are immensely grateful and fortunate to have Dr Hale supporting our lovely boy’s diverse and complex needs.
The support and understanding shown to my children has been inspiring. It has also empowered me to move forward with the strength needed to fight the square peg / round hole system.
Dr Emily Hale has been fantastic in helping me to improve my mental health and sense of self through psychotherapy. The environment she creates is one free from judgement which allows me to be myself and express any issues that are bothering me. She is superb!
Emily is a fabulous therapist and engages brilliantly with families and young people.
