Ms Eleanor Sproson

Ms Eleanor Sproson is a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon specialising in paediatric ENT and adult and paediatric laryngology. She provides comprehensive diagnostic and surgical care for a broad range of ear, nose, throat, and airway conditions. Recognised for her reassuring, family-centred approach, Ms Sproson works collaboratively with patients and families to deliver tailored, evidence-based treatment plans designed to restore function and improve quality of life.

Her clinical expertise encompasses both general otolaryngology and sub-specialised surgical care. Within paediatric ENT, Ms Sproson manages conditions such as glue ear, recurrent tonsillitis, obstructive sleep apnoea, nasal allergies, and congenital airway abnormalities. In her laryngology practice, she treats complex voice, breathing, and swallowing disorders, including muscle tension dysphonia, vocal fold lesions, and laryngeal weakness. She performs advanced surgical procedures, including coblation tonsillectomy, grommet insertion, phonosurgery, injection laryngoplasty, and laryngeal reinnervation.

Ms Sproson completed her higher surgical training in the Wessex region and holds a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (FRCS ORL-HNS). She undertook advanced fellowship training in paediatric ENT surgery at a leading children's hospital in London, alongside completing a Master of Science (MSc) in Allergy. Additionally, Ms Sproson has spearheaded clinical simulation initiatives and quality improvement programmes focused on enhancing emergency paediatric airway management.
