Dr Ejaz Pathan

Dr Ejaz Pathan is a Consultant Rheumatologist who provides expert care for patients experiencing a broad range of joint, muscle, and autoimmune conditions. Dedicated to delivering patient-centred and evidence-based care, Dr Pathan focuses on accurate diagnosis, personalised management plans, and long-term joint health. His clinical practice encompasses inflammatory joint diseases, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and complex rheumatic disorders.

Dr Pathan completed his specialist Rheumatology training in Edinburgh, establishing a strong foundation in clinical rheumatology and patient management. He further advanced his clinical expertise by completing a dedicated research fellowship in London, followed by an international fellowship in axial Spondyloarthritis in Toronto. Alongside his clinical appointments as a Consultant Rheumatologist, he serves as a Research Lead in rheumatology, remaining actively involved in advancing medical understanding and therapeutic approaches in the field.

In his clinical practice, Dr Pathan offers comprehensive care across general rheumatology, early arthritis, and axial Spondyloarthritis. He has a particular clinical interest in utilising musculoskeletal ultrasound as a non-invasive diagnostic tool to evaluate joint inflammation and perform targeted therapeutic procedures. Dr Pathan also collaborates across multidisciplinary specialties to manage complex systemic conditions, including joint issues linked with inflammatory bowel disease, ensuring that each patient receives tailored and compassionate care.
