About Dr. Eirini Merika
Dr Eirini Merika is a Consultant adult and paediatric Dermatologist at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. She is the current Service Director for Dermatology and is also the clinical lead for the acne service. She has also served as the local training lead for dermatology and has been principle investigator for clinical trials.
She sees patients with a wide range of conditions including acne, actinic keratoses, atopic eczema, folliculitis, hair loss, psoriasis, skin cancer, skin infections, and vitiligo. She also performs skin surgery for benign skin lesions, basal cell carcinoma, and skin cancer.
Dr Merika qualified in 2007 from University College London. She has also intercalated in Human Genetics. She became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2010 and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2019. She is also a member of a number of other professional associations including the British Association Of Dermatologists, the British Society of Dermatological Surgery, and the Royal Society of Medicine.
Dr Merika has a keen interest in research and does this alongside her clinical work. She is also involved in medical education and teaches junior trainees, medical undergraduates, and general practitioners.
Dr Merika is fluent in English and Greek.

Wonderful to see Dr Merika as always, who has been so fantastic at sorting my rosacea which has made a huge difference to my skin and overall confidence. She is so knowledgeable and lovely to chat to and discuss other skin issues with too and even kindly had a chat to my daughter about tween skincare! Would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat.
