Dr Duncan Gilbert

Dr Duncan Gilbert is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care for individuals diagnosed with cancer. Specialising in Oncology, Dr Gilbert focuses on managing a wide range of solid tumours, with specialist expertise in urological malignancies, such as prostate and testicular cancers, as well as lower gastrointestinal cancers, including anal and colorectal tumours. His patient-centred approach ensures that each individual receives a tailored treatment plan designed to optimise therapeutic outcomes while prioritising quality of life.

Dr Gilbert earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB BChir) alongside a Master of Arts in Pharmacology from the University of Cambridge, qualifying in 1997. He completed postgraduate training in internal medicine and clinical oncology, gaining Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2000 and becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2005. Dr Gilbert subsequently undertook advanced research into the molecular biology of testicular cancer, earning a PhD from the Institute of Cancer Research in 2009.
