Dr Owen Miller

Dr Miller is a Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist with decades of experience in paediatric cardiology and paediatric intensive care. He sees private patients for cardiac assessment in the Westminster Bridge Consulting Rooms (@ St Thomas' Hospital) and at The Evelina London Children's Hospital.

Dr Miller gained his primary medical qualification in Australia, after which he undertook specialist training in paediatric cardiology and intensive care in Sydney, London and Zurich. Upon completion of specialist training, his first consultant appointment was in Sydney (1993), before moving to London in 2005 to take up his current position as Consultant in PaediatrIc and Fetal Cardiology at the Evelina London Children's Hospital. Dr Miller has held many leadership positions, including Head of Service for Cardiology, Director of Specialist Networks, Director of International Services, Clinical Director of the Congenital Heart Disease Network and now Clinical Director for Cardio-Respiratory and Intensive Care, across both Evelina London Children's Hospital and Royal Brompton sites.

Dr Miller provides specialist consultation and investigations for all congenital and acquired heart conditions including Heart Murmurs, Chest Pain, Palpitations, Collapse, and family history screening.

Dr Miller also provides sub specialist fetal cardiac review for pregnancies suspected of having congenital heart disease in the fetus.

In addition to the consultation, ECG and Echocardiography (Heart Ultrasound) will be preformed personally by Dr Miller in the consulting room usually during the same appointment. Further specialised heart tests (Exercise testing, Ambulatory ECG, event monitoring, etc.) are available and can be agreed at the initial consultation.
