The patient pathway incorporates common diagnostic procedures such as echocardiograms, ECGs, CT coronary angiograms, and ECG holter monitors.
I don’t know if it’s weird to say, but I’ve had a lot of fun whilst checking through my health situation. All of Dr Harrison’s team were also really great. Whilst informing me of my health situation, we also had a lot of great conversations about life in general. I’d quite happily meet them all socially too - always a good way to have a relationship with those providing your health support
Very approachable and professional. Provided clear explanation of diagnosis
He carried a very detail examination and was very clear on what was going to take place and very clear on the results obtained for the various tests.
I had met with Dr Harrison before and on all occasions found him to be easy to understand and reassuring. He laid out the options available to me and helped guide me in a treatment plan. The treatment plan was to begin with an appointment at the AF clinic at the PRU on 14.04.26. Unfortunately l have just been advised today that this appointment has now been moved to 14.07.26.
Dr Harrison was patient; he listened and looked to build rapport with an informal approach. He was accommodating and took the time to answer my questions :)
Dr James Harrison and his PA (Hannah) make a great team.
I was referred to Dr Harrison as I was experiencing high blood pressure. Following an initial consultation, I underwent various standard analytical procedures to assess the health of my heart etc. At the follow-up consultation I was prescribed medication. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Harrison. He is very clear in the way he explained the diagnosis and was very willing to spend time answering my many questions. He comes across as someone who is highly experienced and who really puts the patient first, for example, by using language that the patient can understand.
Dr Harrison was very pleasant and very approachable. He asked about my health and any conditions I have. He asked about my symptoms and explained to me what caused these. His explanation was very clear and very thorough and this was important for me. I like to know. With his nurse he carried out an ECG, arranged for me to have blood tests and an echocardiogram which I was able to have the same day. I was very reassured by Dr Harrison. He prescribed Bisoprolol 2.5 mg which I commenced the following morning. Dr Harrison explained the manoeuvres I could carry out if I had palpitations but apart from one short episode these have ceased. I am grateful to Dr Harrison and I would definitely make an appointment to see him if I had any further symptoms and I would recommend him to anyone needing to see a cardiologist.
Since being under the care of Dr Harrison I have found his manner and demeanour to be one of complete professionalism, compassion and understanding, mixed with kindness. Dr Harrison has a way of explaining everything clearly and in a way that you can understand, and is excellent at listening to your questions and reassuring you of any worries that you may have. For me Dr Harrison is the very best Cardiologist out there! When on my last appointment my wife and I had certain questions, he took the time to explain and was extremely reassuring, he has a great way off helping you feel calm and relaxed … just superb!
James is a leading cardiologist that will always pay attention to detail and will always ensure his patients will receive the highest quality of care. I would very strongly recommend him with no reservations.
