Dr Thomas is very pleasant and professional. He took the time to listen at great depth about my issue, and actioned an MRI scan immediately during the same visit, saving me another trip into the clinic. My results were back the next day, and he scheduled a phone call on the same day, rather than me having to wait a week for my follow up appointment to receive the results. I will be highly recommending him.
Super knowledgeable and friendly
What can I say probably one of the nicest most down to earth doctors I have ever had the pleasure of meetint. He listens and is flexible with options and treatments. He totally respects your decisions to decline or alter treatment offered which is refreshing. He works with you to get the best outcome possible for you. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great Dr who has his patients interests at heart . Thank you Dr Benjamin Thomas 😊
I have nothing but praise for Dr Ben Thomas. He is a thoughtful, professional and caring physician. A few weeks ago I was in a terrible mess, having had revision hip surgery which appeared to have gone wrong. I was on high doses of opiates, confined to bed and in a wasted condition. My mental state had deteriorated also. Because of the lockdown imposed to control Covid 19 transmission, I was not receiving the medical attention I needed. But as soon as I was referred to Ben by one of his colleagues, he took a keen interest in my case. He worked tirelessly with me to boost my morale, to determine the origins of my pain and to address them as speedily as possible. Ultimately he identified that I had multiple complications contributing to the problem, including slipped discs in my lumbar spine which he treated with spinal injections. I have subsequently made a strong recovery. None of this would have been possible without Ben’s strenuous efforts to treat me in spite of the limitations created by the pandemic and without the empathy and understanding he showed me when I was at my lowest ebb. He is a truly wonderful doctor.
I felt at ease in going for my treatment from start to finish.
Excellent assessment of my son’s situation, good explanation based at his level and very approachable. Helpful with how we might manage this logistically.
Treatment went very smoothly was very successful
Dr Thomas has been, and continues to be a first class practitioner, but more importantly he is approachable, is prepared to listen, does what he says he is going to do in relation to communication, and gives a fair assessment of what he regards as the root of the problem. We like him very much and have every confidence in him and his prognosis.
My consultation was during Coronavirus outbreak and was conducted on the phone (we had some trouble with Skype). This was still highly effective. Dr Thomas hugely prepared and speaks clearly in non medical and easily understood terms. When doing a phone consultation, it helps if you also have prepared your own questions in advance. In my case, the phone consultation With Dr Thomas was as effective as being in person and lasted around the same time (around 40 mins). We left with a clear plan and I would have no hesitation doing this again.
Dr Thomas is an amazing man who clearly cares for his patients. Going the extra mile certainly made me feel welcome and as ease.
Friendly , clear explanation of my conditon and the procedure . It has helped me a lot, and would really recommend Dr Thomas to others.
Put my mind at rest and explained my condition clearly.I would definitely contact him when needed and highly recommend him to others.
Dr Thomas has been outstanding in helping my early mother cope with chronic back pain. He has helped manage the pain over the past 3/4 years and referred her to take part in a trial for a spinal stimulator which has been a great success which has reduced her pain by over 50%. Dr Thomas goes over and above expectations and always makes the time for his patients.
Dr. Thomas is a great listener and patiently tolerated my account of two years of pain, diagnosed in Spain as Polymyalgia. I needed to learn if it was a natural, age-related development, or whether the symptoms were misleading and caused by a specific virus or bacteria. Dozens of tests (for lyme disease, paratyphoid and so on) proved inconclusive, and in the end he frankly stated that he "could go on doing tests for as long as the money lasted" (!), but he thought the tests were exhaustive enough and the returns on subsequent tests would probably not be worth the expense. I appreciated his honesty and humour, and I left London a happier person for having at least received confirmation and validation of the Spanish doctors' diagnoses.
Best doctor i ever had
I have known and worked with Dr Ben Thomas for many years. He is an excellent colleague and pain specialist, very holistic in his management, and has helped many patients to deal with chronic pain. He takes great care with his patients and is very well respected in his field
